European Cover
If you are planning to use your touring caravan abroad in Europe this year then you will want to make sure that you are properly protected in the event of an accident or breakdown.
If you already know that you will definitely be using you caravan in Europe then when your caravan insurance is due for renewal it’s a good time to shop around to ensure that you pick an insurance policy that will cover you for the length of time you need overseas.

Use the quote comparison form to get information from insurers as to the level of cover they offer for European caravan use.  You will want to make sure you fully read and understand what is and isn’t covered whilst abroad.  If you are not happy with the cover then choose another supplier or contact the insurer to see if they have a better matched policy.

Often you will be able to get a better deal by sorting out the European cover whilst you are taking out a new policy rather than trying to add it on later.  For a start, the insurer knows you are less likely to shop around when adding on cover and secondly they will often make ‘administration’ charges for the change.

You should also ensure that your car insurance, car and caravan breakdown cover also cover you for European use. Again negotiating this when you take out the policy will often be better value for money than adding it on later.
